Government oversight, technical regulation, corporate equity and commercial agreements are different legal relationships. Select each institution for its source and evidence date; this is not an AI-ready capacity count.

Source numbers describe the global economy, other countries or income groups—not observed Indonesian AI capacity. Modelled AI power capacity is not measured electricity consumption; a data-center count is not megawatts.

These national data-center estimates refer to the broader data-center market, not commissioned AI/GPU-specific capacity. Different official pipeline estimates (including 1.17 GW) can have different coverage and must never be added together. Investment amounts, financing and contracted power frequently overlap.

Investment implementation tracker

Filter by project geography or evidentiary stage. These are site/project records rather than an additive national MW or US$ total. Source snapshot: public project announcements and national government statements through October 2026.

Status is evidence-based as of the reported milestone, not a continuously refreshed construction inspection. Operator homepages are reference entry points, not verification of every milestone; confirm individual releases before investment decisions.

Site readiness: qualitative due diligence

Below is a checklist of relative verification priorities, not an invented site-score or objective risk probability. No project is marked fully investment-ready without grid commissioning, cooling specification, network redundancy and regulatory documentation.

Technology & regulation watchlist

Investor interpretation

Operational cloud availability ≠ planned AI-factory capacity

Microsoft and AWS have operating cloud regions; their corporate investment commitments include services and other spending, so they are not directly comparable to planned campus capex.

Electricity contract ≠ operational IT capacity

Batam's power agreements demonstrate development progress but do not prove cooling, computing equipment and commissioned service readiness.

Construction milestone ≠ utilization

Bekasi's construction-stage campuses require operational commissioning, power-on dates, and commercial occupancy validation.

Regulatory pipeline ≠ enacted policy

AI roadmap and AI ethics draft rules must be tracked against their latest legal status. PDP, cybersecurity, licensing and environmental obligations require separate diligence.
