PLN Regional Grid & Distribution Infrastructure

Verified data digitized from Statistik PLN 2024, downloaded by GitHub Actions and reviewed against the publisher's PDF tables. Year-end 2024 actuals are deliberately separate from future RUPTL plans.

Asset capacity is not grid headroom. Provincial distribution-transformer ratings (MVA) do not show unused substation capacity, N-1 security, committed customer connection loads or AI data-center readiness. 2024 UID/UIT/PLN Batam data use different operator scopes. The cited 2024 PLN Statistics extraction run did not fetch the full RUPTL 2025–2034 or PLN Statistics 2025 PDFs. The official complete RUPTL PDF was verified later in a separate audit; remaining PLN Statistics 2025 source tables need independent validation.

Province-level figure from Table 31, PDF page 74 / printed page 58. Kepulauan Riau UID row does not include assets reported separately by PLN Batam, and the three provinces must not be treated as total regional installed grid capacity.

Transmission-substation transformer assets — reporting entities

UI T units serve transmission operating regions; these rows are not identical to provincial boundaries.

Table 30, PDF page 73 / printed page 57. PLN Batam is its own company reporting line. IU/UID records should not be summed without coverage reconciliation.

Methodological distinctions

Annual 2024 actual installed transformer MVA ≠ generation peak MW ≠ available firm capacity. The RUPTL 2025–2034 is a future plan; it must not be added to 2024 installed stock without actual completion records and deduplication.

Crosswalk is geographic/operational context only. It does not identify a specific feeder, GIS location or guaranteed service to any proposed data center.
