Public Safety & Security Intelligence
Three distinct views: reported police incidents, household victimization and confidence in reporting, and village-level conflict observations. All figures are historical, published by BPS in December 2025—not a current safety rating or a forecast.
SLI assessment: the registered incident count fell between 2023 and 2024, while self-reported victimization increased and reporting among victims declined. Different sources are not contradictory counts; they use different measurement populations. For investors, these historical trends support questions about insurance, personnel welfare, logistics and local due diligence—not automatic project risk labels.

National trends are not one composite measure
Police records: 584,991 recorded crimes (2023) versus 561,993 (2024).
Susenas: survey prevalence 0.45% (2023) versus 0.73% (2024); victim reporting 23.36% versus 20.28%.
Podes: villages reporting a mass-conflict event 1.85% (2021) versus 2.41% (2024).
Geography, sampling and interpretation
Polri geography ≠ province. Polda Metro Jaya includes Mabes Polri and reaches outside DKI; Polda Papua covers four administrative provinces, and Polda Papua Barat covers two. Police values must not be reassigned to individual provinces.
Susenas estimates include reporting bias and sample uncertainty; police records undercount unreported crime. Podes counts villages with at least one event, not event totals. N/A does not mean zero.

Indonesia's provincial economy and civic landscape
Explore selected official BPS indicators across provinces and years. Economic scale and capital formation appear separately from election administration and institutional indicators. No combined political or investment-risk score is computed.

Indonesia · Democracy Index (IDI)
BPS national composite, 2021–2024; not a forecast or investment risk rating.
National IDI covers both central and provincial components; it is not directly the same as the Press Freedom Index.
Read the data correctly
GRDP and PMTB use IDR billion. Current-price and 2010 constant-price figures are distinct measures. PMTB measures gross fixed capital formation, not BKPM PMA/PMDN investment realization. Growth computed from constant-price GRDP is a derived real growth rate.
PDRB 2024 figures are revised (*) and 2025 provisional (**). Four new Papua provinces lack comparable 2021–2022 entries. Registered voters (DPT) are not actual turnout; a dash is N/A, not zero.
All provincial press freedom scores are Dewan Pers index observations reproduced in BPS Statistik Politik 2025. They are not SLI's judgments of political institutions. BPS attribution and original publication links are provided for every selection.
